Gothico Venezia

Letter Press / Lino Cut / Photopolymer
During Boston University Venice 2021 Study Abroad Program printmaking course hosted at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezi. Gothico Venezia is a print project creating a small book about the Gothic Architecture of Venice. To explore different methods of printing, the book was design using three different printmaking styles: letter press, lino cut, and photopolyomer printing.

This book was used to explore an interest in form and dimensions by trying to answer the questions: What makes a book a book? What forms can a book take?

Graphic design editorial assignment designing a book of influences: The layout of the book catalogued a collection of inspirations that influenced my approach and perspective on art and design. Allegory to my sketchbook, the design of the cover was decorated in the "sticker" images of certain influences extracted from the content of the pages. The book was finished with rounded corners.
